Contact Lens Fitting

Contact lenses have long been the corrective choice for people who prefer not to wear eyeglasses. For particularly active people, eyeglasses may not be the most appropriate solution. There are many types of contact lenses, here at Oasis Eye Care we fit all types of available lenses. The most common types are listed below:

Multifocal contact lenses

This allows for both near and distance vision to be covered.

Rigid gas-permeable (RGP) or "Hard Contacts"

Often times will provide superior vision for those who cannot wear conventional soft contacts, such as those with higher prescriptions or high astigmatism

Ortho-Kertaology (Ortho-K)

A gas-permeable lens that is worn overnight. They are used to temporarily correct myopia, astigmatism, and hyperopia. They also slow the progression of childhood myopia (ideal for patients whose myopia is increasing every year). This allows patients to not wear correction (glasses/contacts) during waking ours.

Scleral Contact Lenses

Improved comfort and stabilization over a regular RGP lens. Can be used for patients who have corneal problems such as Keratoconus, Corneal Transplant, Corneal ectasia (thinning)—usually a result of refractive surgery, such as LASIK—and Corneal dystrophy/degeneration.

Synergeyes lenses (hybrid lenses)

These lenses employ the best of both hard and soft contacts, offering the superior clarity of hard contacts with the comfort of soft contacts. They are great for patients with higher astigmatisms that have trouble with clarity through their conventional soft lenses. Good for patients with Keratoconus and includes multifocal fits.

At Oasis Eye Care, we do not have fees for regular contact lens teaches and fits. We also have competitive in-store pricing.
